PLUG NEWS: Plug had a fantastic night at the Marketing Magazine Agency of the Year Awards earlier this month. Shortlisted as finalists in four different categories, PLUG took home not one, but FIVE trophies including two gold, one bronze and two local hero awards.

The Agency of the Year Awards recognizes excellence in agency work across categories ranging from PR, design and advertising to B2B and digital creative. Held at the JW Marriott, the 2015 gala dinner was a spectacular success and was attended by close to 600 industry professionals.

PLUG EVENT: Last week Plug PR and fabulously British fashion brand Jack Wills hosted an exclusive media preview of the Jack Wills Summer 2015 Collection with renowned British designer and new Creative Director Richard Nicoll at the chic Upper House Hotel. Select VIP media interviewed Richard throughout the morning, and a small group of handpicked Hong Kong and Macau media were invited to a private launch event in the afternoon where they were able to browse key looks from the summer collection, while enjoying British-themed canapes and refreshments. PLUG EVENT: Earlier this week Plug PR launched the Spring 2015 Collection for fabulously British brand Jack Wills at Lightstage, a sleek events space in Sheung Wan, Hong Kong. With over 100 guests in attendance, the Brit-inspired fashion launch was a buzzing affair filled with sweet treats, soulful sounds by the talented VoSSa duo and live sketching by talented artist Tanya Bennett, all topped off with a catwalk show featuring 24 key looks from Spring 2015, the debut collection of Richard Nicoll in his new role as Creative Director for Jack Wills. Under Nicoll’s precision and polish, the range has been broadened and a cohesive, considered collection has emerged, with the introduction of more versatile and timeless options for menswear and womenswear. Special thanks to the fantastic team at Tuff for their support in putting on a dazzling show.

PLUG PR won big at the Hong Kong PR Awards last night, cementing an especially strong year for the independent Hong Kong- based consumer lifestyle PR agency. Nominated as finalists in five separate categories, PLUG won two categories outright and placed silver in the three remaining. Gold trophies were awarded to high performance athletic apparel brand 2XU for “Best Product Launch” and to the fabulously British fashion brand Jack Wills for “Most Profitable PR Campaign”. Eco-chic furniture brand TREE bagged silver for “Best Luxury PR Campaign”, while 2XU was honoured again with silver in a separate category for “Best Sports PR Campaign”. Premium international travel brand TUMI picked up silver for “Best Use of Influencers” with joint honors going to PLUG PR, Tuff Consult and MandL Asia for their combined efforts in the brand’s Asia Global Citizens Campaign. The Hong Kong PR Awards celebrate distinction in the Hong Kong PR industry, recognising its top talent and the most meaningful and creative PR activities of the year.
